The ground anchor or ground hook is a solid U-shaped bent bracket made of steel to improve the locality, the anchoring of driving plates & ground protection plates, especially in terrain with incline, decline, longitudinal slope and cross slope. Thanks to the U-shape, there are no sharp edges as with simple bent ground pegs or tent pegs, this prevents, among other things, slashing of air-filled tires. At the same time, the risk of injury from tripping or getting stuck is reduced. We recommend the steel ground anchor to use our driving plates and ground protection plates off-road on soft ground.
Ground anchor prevents slipping of road plates
The ground anchor with the single connector and double connector made of steel reduces the probability that driving plates can slip. This is particularly advantageous in terrain with slopes or inclines, to ensure permanent ground protection. You should also use the ground anchor in curved areas so that shearing forces caused by steering movements can be better counteracted. The ground anchor is approx. 400 mm long and approx. 124 mm wide. The material thickness of the steel is approx. ø 12.0 mm in diameter. The ends of the ground anchor are pointed to facilitate insertion into the ground.
Application recommendations for ground anchors:
- Insertion of the ground anchors, always linear & transverse to the slope
- Inserting the ground anchors at the highest point of each panel system
- Decoupling of a panel system, after every 10 panels
- Overlapping of one panel to the next is recommended.
