CONNECTION TECHNOLOGY FOR DRIVING PLATES & FLOOR PROTECTION PLATES

Connecting technology for driving plates and and floor protection plates made of plastic are indispensable. The connectors provide the hold and secure bonding of the plates to each other. If you do not use connectors at all and lay the panels loosely, you run the risk of the plastic rubbing off on the floor due to possible panel movement. Securatek has also taken care of this problem and offers suitable and proven connection technology for hard floors made of steel and for soft floors made of plastic for driving plates, floor protection plates and heavy-duty plates, which represents a solution for the described problem.

WHY ARE THERE DIFFERENT TYPES OF CONNECTORS?

SINGLE CONNECTOR FOR DRIVING SLABS & FLOOR PROTECTION SLABS

With the single connector made of steel, two driving plates or floor protection plates can be connected quickly, easily and without tools. The single connectors are bent in such a way that they hold the plates together securely under tension, pressure and shear forces. We recommend single connectors for creating lanes for mobile construction roads, driveways, temporary access roads, and construction site access roads or site equipment.

DOUBLE CONNECTOR FOR DRIVING SLABS & GROUND PROTECTION SLABS

The steel double connector allows 4 panels to be joined together at the corner holes of each panel to create a platform or composite surface. For panels with double holes, such as the x:tek driving panels and s:tek floor protection panels, we recommend to always use the double connectors, even when laying the panels as a driving track.

PLASTIC CONNECTORS FOR DRIVING PLATES & FLOOR PROTECTION PLATES

The single connector made of plastic enables the connection of slabs as construction lane and platform. The steel reinforcement stiffens the connection technique to better withstand horizontal shear forces. We recommend the plastic connectors for all applications of driving plates or floor protection plates on hard, solid, sensitive, high-quality and protective floors, floor coverings or floor coatings, such as asphalt, tar, road paving, sidewalk paving, industrial floor, hall floor, sports floor, tartan floor,  and many more.

By using 2 x single connectors made of plastic with reinforcement and additional two reinforcements, the 4-fold connection of laths is made possible in the compound. We recommend this type of connection for all installations / layouts as a multi-lane construction road or platform.

QUICK CONNECTOR FOR DRIVING SLABS

The quick connector is a kind of connecting clamp for driving plates. The connector clip is inserted from above into the already positioned driving plates. The connector can therefore be inserted without tools. Compared to other connecting clamps, the quick connector works both on tension and compression and cannot spring open. The flat steel also reduces the risk of tripping.

CABLE TIES FOR MOVING PANELS

Cable ties are the simplest and most cost-effective way to connect or couple moving panels to each other. The cable ties can be guided through the connection holes or grip holes of the panels to tie them together. 

GROUND ANCHORS FOR TRACK PLATES 

Our steel ground anchors have two functions. On the one hand, it is intended to anchor or fix driving plates and ground protection plates in the corresponding ground, on the other hand, the ground anchor can connect two plates together thanks to its U-shape. But the real purpose is to fix the plates to the ground in order to improve the stability. In fact, we recommend to use the ground anchor in any case in the terrain with longitudinal or transverse slope, incline or decline , but also for construction roads in the flat surface so that they do not move away or "wander"

FLEECE & RUBBER MATS AS SEPARATING UNDERLAYMENT

Based on many years of practical experience and close customer contact, we recommend laying either a floor protection fleece or a rubber mat as a separating and decoupling layer between the floor and the plastic sheets in every application. The geotextile soil protection fleece (GRK2/GRK5) ensures that e.g. on soft soils hardly any mud is pressed through the transition joints onto the plastic panels and the construction site remains cleaner. At the same time, the load-bearing capacity of the soil is improved. If the plastic plates are used as pavement protection, the floor protection fleece prevents possible abrasion of plastic on the pavement.
