The rubber mat or building protection mat is always used when a high quality, sensitive or worth protecting floor covering must be protected from mechanical damage. The rubber mat has a strong anti-slip effect and reduces the probability that e.g. driving plates or floor protection plates can slip.The mat made of rubber granulate offers protection against mechanical damage and is used as a separating, damping and decoupling mat for high-quality and solid floors or floor coverings

Rubber mat as a protective separating layer

We recommend laying the rubber mat between the floor (flooring, subfloor) to be protected and the driving plates, floor protection plates, floor mats or floor systems. Due to the shock-absorbing, vibration-absorbing and sound-absorbing effect, the use of the rubber mats is recommended for all applications that are subject to strict environmental, sound-insulation or other emission regulations.

Important properties of the building protection mat

Chemical behavior: conditional resistance to acids and alkalis.Environmental behavior: rot-resistant and water-compatible. Water permeability: is given by the material structure. Expansion under moisture: min. 2 % (depending on moisture content and installation situation). Water vapor permeability: sd = 0.18 m water vapor diffusion equivalent air layer thickness (DIN EN ISO 12572). Salt water resistance: resistant according to DIN EN ISO 175 and DIN EN ISO 3386-2. UV resistance: resistant according to DIN EN 1297 and DIN EN ISO 3386-2.
