MegaDeck® HD+ is among the largest and strongest heavy-duty plastic decks at 4300 × 2300 × 101 mm. The matting system enables maximum project safety for temporary paths & areas, even under the most extreme conditions. MegaDeck ® HD+ heavy-duty composite mats are specifically designed for heavy-duty and/or high-traffic construction projects, such as grid construction, power construction, underground cable construction, overhead line construction, pipeline construction, infrastructure construction, and large-scale construction sites and events.

MegaDeck HD+ mats create a stable, closed, level surface, installable as Platform or as temporary driveways. Made of extremely impact-resistant, anti-static HDPE plastic, the ultra-rugged excavator mat can withstand loads of up to a record 380t** thanks to its weight-saving hollow-chamber honeycomb structure, positive buoyancy (floatable) and the massive load transfer lips with fully integrated "MDX connection technology". Because of this unique combination of product features, MegaDeck® heavy-duty decking has proven its worth in countless large-scale international projects worldwide.

With Mega Deck, you create a secure foundation for your project. The mat system offers explicit advantages in terms of service life, logistics costs and installation speed. The service life of the panels is well over 10 years, depending on the application. Compared to steel panels, aluminum panels or excavator mattresses, up to 487m² of MegaDeck panels can be transported per truck load. The Installation does not require special vehicles, but your employees can easily and quickly lay the panels themselves with existing wheel loaders or forklifts.

With the ability to carry a load of up to 487m2, you can save many trips, save fuel, and therefore emit less CO2. Thanks to the stable, seamless and solid surface, the negative environmental impact of all machines and vehicles moving on the panels is reduced. The fact that the plastic does not absorb moisture and is easy to clean means that the risk of cross-contamination can be significantly reduced. On which soils and weather conditions can MegaDeck be used?

There is hardly a surface on which MegaDeck heavy-duty flooring has not been installed. The areas of application range from the solution as surface protection on concrete, asphalt, pavement, industrial floors, hall floors, sports floors and tartan tracks to the solution for soil protection on lawns, meadows and forest paths. The anti-slip profiling on both sides ensures safe use even under the most adverse conditions.

Why is MegaDeck so highly loadable despite its low dead weight?

In order to make these initially contradictory properties possible, a great deal of know-how and many years of experience have gone into the system. 1. Experience in product development, 2. optimized material matching of the plastic and 3. the specially developed manufacturing process. The perfect combination of these three skills has resulted in Mega Deck HD+. A special blend of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) with antistatic properties and the addition of special impact modifiers was developed for the production of the heavy-duty panels. In order to save weight and at the same time increase rigidity as well as load-bearing capacity, a hollow-chamber honeycomb core was incorporated into the panel based on the design model from nature.

The solid overlap lips and the newly developed "MDX" connection technology can ensure maximum load transfer or force transmission in the panel composite. Thus, the entire system supports and distributes the load. Unlike steel plates, aluminum panels, or excavator mattresses where each individual piece must carry the full load.

 Which application areas or fields of use are suitable for heavy-duty sheets?

The heavy-duty slabs are generally used where high loads and/or a high frequency of traffic and/or soft, not particularly load-bearing soils are to be expected. The connection system allows the slabs to be used in any way Installation as a road, path, lane, Platform and surface. It is also possible to connect the mats in offsets, around corners or as curves in radii. The profiled top and bottom of the slab provides optimum grip and traction for man and machine, especially on terrain with longitudinal and/or cross slopes.
