"How much will it cost to build or renovate the tartan track?" Many clubs and municipalities always ask these and similar questions first when considering renovating their sports facilities. The same applies to construction sites located either directly on or immediately adjacent to a sports facility. Contamination or damage would incur additional costs. Neither the contracted construction company nor the club or municipality in question wants that. Therefore, it makes perfect sense to adequately protect the existing facilities beforehand.

Our customer achieves this in this project with the help of s:tek high-performance ground protection matAs the product name suggests, this is a high-performance ground protection panel that is incredibly flexible and robust. These are precisely the qualities that are not only appreciated on construction sites, but are indispensable. Since construction sites often take decades to complete and heavy equipment often requires maneuvering, you need ground protection mats that can rightly be described as "high-performance." Especially when you consider a project on a sports field with a tartan track.

As you can clearly see, our customer also had a Soil protection fleece Designed as a separating and load-distributing base. This provides additional protection and prevents dirt from getting between the joints of the individual panels onto the subfloor.

Normally we generally recommend connecting the s:tek high-performance ground protection mats to each other using individual plastic or steel connectors. This depends on the soil conditions and the specific application. This would reliably prevent the panels from slipping. However, in this particular project, this wasn't absolutely necessary, or rather, it didn't even make sense. Finally, we would like to emphasize the low weight of 41 kg per panel, which is always an important factor when installing ground protection mats.
