Conversion of a planting area into a car parking space made of grass pavers

In this customer reference, an existing planted area was converted into a drive-over parking space made of grass pavers. The RGS35 plastic grass paver effectively saves effort, time, and money thanks to its simple "on-top" installation. This makes the plastic grass paver the perfect product for all home users, hobbyists, and home and property owners who like to take matters into their own hands—in the modern sense of DIY (do-it-yourself).

In the first step, the plants were removed from the vegetation area and the topsoil was loosened and leveled. In the second step, our customer quickly and easily laid the plastic grass paver, weighing just 750 grams, on the prepared area. To create a flush finish with the existing deep curb/edge at the edge, the grass paver was processed (cutting, grinding, and sawing) and fitted.

In the third and final step, the grass paver only needed to be vibrated or tamped in with a vibrating plate. However, we recommend sowing grass seed (e.g., Heavy-Duty Lawn (1kg/30m² / Item No.: RS-SR-1000-030)) before vibrating.

Another advantage of plastic grass pavers compared to concrete grass pavers becomes immediately apparent in midsummer. Open-pored concrete grass pavers heat up extremely rapidly in summer and draw moisture from the soil. The soil dries out, and the grass burns. The plastic of the RGS35 grass paver doesn't absorb moisture and heats up significantly less than its concrete counterpart. Accordingly, the effects are mitigated in midsummer.
