The Rubber mat or construction protection mat This mat is used whenever a high-quality, sensitive, or delicate floor covering needs protection from mechanical damage. The rubber mat provides excellent slip resistance and reduces the likelihood of, for example, driveway mats or floor protection mats shifting. Made of rubber granules, the mat offers protection against mechanical damage and is used as a separating, cushioning, and decoupling mat for high-quality, solid floors and floor coverings.

Rubber mat as a protective separating layer

We recommend installing the rubber mat between the floor to be protected (floor covering, subfloor) and the road plates, ground protection mats, floor protection mats, or floor systems. Due to their shock-absorbing, vibration-damping, and sound-absorbing properties, the rubber mats are recommended for all applications subject to strict environmental, soundproofing, or other emissions regulations.

Important properties of the building protection mat

Chemical behavior: limited resistance to acids and alkalis. Environmental behavior: rot-resistant and water-compatible. Water permeability: determined by the material structure. Expansion under moisture: at least 2% (depending on moisture content and installation conditions). Water vapor permeability: sd = 0,18 m water vapor diffusion-equivalent air layer thickness (DIN EN ISO 12572). Salt water resistance: resistant according to DIN EN ISO 175 and DIN EN ISO 3386-2. UV resistance: resistant according to DIN EN 1297 and DIN EN ISO 3386-2.
