RENTAL FAQ

The rental period begins at the time (calendar day and time) when the delivery of the rental items arrives at the customer's premises. For self-collection, this is the time of collection. Rental items are provided on a weekly basis, with a week consisting of seven calendar days.

If no rental period has been expressly agreed upon, it will be extended continuously by one additional week. The rental agreement can be terminated at any time after the first week with one week's notice to the end of the rental week.

The customer must immediately inspect the rental items for damage upon delivery or collection and immediately notify Securatek in writing of any defects or quantity discrepancies. Taking the rental items into use constitutes confirmation by the tenant that no detectable defects were present upon initial use.

No. The customer may not transfer or sublet the rental items to third parties, whether for a fee or free of charge, without the prior written consent of Securatek.

If damage occurs to the rental items during the rental period, the customer is obliged to report the damage to Securatek immediately and to coordinate further action with Securatek.

The customer acknowledges that attempts to repair the device themselves will frequently fail due to a lack of specialized know-how and/or specialized materials or tools. Attempts to repair the device yourself may therefore potentially exacerbate the damage.

Securatek will review your information and arrange a date with you for the return transport by the customer or the collection date by Securatek, if requested.

The customer organizes the return transport (or return transport in the case of partial returns) at their own expense, unless otherwise agreed and included in the order confirmation. The duration of the return transport counts towards the rental period; therefore, the rental items must be returned to Securatek no later than the last day of the rental period at the Securatek warehouse at Hüttenweg 35075, 4 Gladenbach.

At the end of the agreed rental period, the rental objects must be returned by the customer cleaned, complete and undamaged to return to Securatek.

Cleaning by the customer, must be carried out before return using high-pressure cleaners or similar means in such a way that the panels are in a condition suitable for further rental without the need for cleaning by Securatek.

If rental items are returned uncleaned or insufficiently cleaned, Securatek will carry out cleaning and invoice the customer based on the costs stated in the offer or price information.

Securatek will also clean dirty or damaged panels and invoice them to determine the extent of the damage.

If the customer returns a rental item damaged and the damage can no longer be classified as normal wear and tear within the scope of intended use, Securatek will attempt to repair the damage and charge the customer for the costs. The customer is liable for damages in this respect.

If a rental item is so badly damaged that it can no longer be repaired, or if it has been lost, destroyed or cannot be returned for other reasons by the customer and the customer notifies Securatek of this, the customer is obligated from that point on to pay Securatek an amount equal to 14/15 of the then current net new catalogue price as compensation.

In return, after payment has been made, the tenant is entitled, upon request, to the transfer of ownership of the damaged rental property or is released from the obligation to return it.

A maximum of 25 panels may be stacked per pallet. The stack must be neat and flush on the pallet. The panels must be securely lashed to the pallet using the provided tensioning straps. The pallet must not be damaged.

Any consequential costs and damages resulting from inadequate or non-cleaning of the rental property, such as increased transport costs, must be borne and reimbursed by the tenant.

Please note that it is at the discretion and responsibility of the carrier whether they refuse to transport the cargo in whole or in part if the above requirements are not met. Any costs incurred for the failed collection attempt are to be borne by the carrier.

The person responsible for the damage must arrange for the rental items to be picked up again at his own expense, either by Securatek or by a carrier of his choice.

The end of the rental period is the date (calendar day and time) at which the rental items were returned or handed back to the Securatek warehouse in 35075 Gladenbach, Hüttenweg 4.

Since the rental objects are handed over on a weekly basis, with a week having seven calendar days, the rental claim for the returned rental object ends at the end of the current rental week.

Early return of the rental property does not release the tenant from the obligation to pay the rent until the end of the agreed rental period.

If Securatek has requested this before the conclusion of the contract, the following applies:

Securatek is entitled to offset the deposit refund claim against claims against the customer arising from and in connection with the rental agreement (including cleaning costs).

The deposit will be refunded by Securatek to the customer within 14 banking days after the final settlement of the rental agreement, provided that there are no further claims against the customer arising from or in connection with the rental agreement.
