Everyone wants to have it nice at home, not only in their own four walls but also in the garden or property. This is a nice example of how to turn a neglected area of land into a beautiful terrace. As so often when it comes to gravel and crushed stone surfaces, our professionalGravel Grid KG30 plastic excavator was used.
First the excavator had to move in. Pull off the turf, remove the root stumps, spread the topsoil evenly. After this preliminary work was completed, the area could be leveled or leveled with sand. On this "laying bed" of sand first the weed fabric was laid and then on top of it the Gravel Grid KG30.
Adjusting the Gravel Grid can be done with anything that cuts, grinds or saws. This is necessary, among other things, if you need to cut the grid for edge areas or transitions to the planting area. As soon as all Gravel Grid were laid could be begun with the filling of the Gravel Grid. Grain sizes of 6mm to 12mm (6-12) are recommended for the patio area, it does not matter if it is round gravel or crushed material, both will be stabilized by the Gravel Grid and result in a firm gravel surface.
Here is the original comment from our customer:
"The terrace was redesigned with a gravel surface on the Gravel Grid KG30. In order to break up the gravel surface, exposed aggregate concrete slabs were placed sporadically in the grid of the grids, under which the grid was removed. Furthermore, due to the absence of a grid, planting areas have been edged with bog burnt bricks. Here the root protection mat has been cut out so that growth is possible within this bed. This has created a geometrically clear and unique design for the terrace."
