Description

In some places, the rapid expansion of mobile networks is only possible through the temporary erection of mobile base stations. Securatek provides a pressure-stable base with load-distributing trackway mats and Outrigger Pads made of plastic to ensure the necessary stability of the mobile transmitting stations in all ground conditions.

Why are mobile radio stations used in the first place?

Classically, "mobile radio trailers" are often used for high-traffic events such as festivals and as replacement sites when existing mobile radio stations are being converted. Mobile Radio Trailers (MRT) are also used in Germany  to set up and expand 5G mobile radio networks quickly and flexibly.

What exactly are Mobile Radio Trailers (MRT)?

MRTs are mobile units equipped with all the necessary components for operating mobile communications networks. They can be transported and set up quickly and easily to provide temporary cellular coverage. They can also serve as a backup solution for existing infrastructures to minimize downtime and ensure the availability of mobile services.

Mobile expansion of the 5G mobile network in Germany with mobile transmission towers

Because 5G mobile networks operate at a higher frequency than previous mobile technologies, they require more antennas and transmitting stations to ensure sufficient coverage. Mobile base stations can quickly and cost-effectively provide additional capacity to meet the demand for 5G mobile services.

Mobile transmitting stations can thus be seen as a transitional solution to accelerate the rollout of the 5G network in Germany. Since approval procedures for stationary or fixed mobile transmitters in Germany can be very lengthy, mobile units such as MRT are a faster and more flexible solution. They can be transported and set up quickly to provide temporary cellular coverage to meet the demand for 5G services.

Mobile transmitters can also serve as a backup solution for existing infrastructure to minimize downtime and ensure the availability of mobile services. Overall, mobile transmitting facilities can help accelerate the rollout of the 5G network and improve the availability of mobile services while the approval process for fixed facilities is being carried out.
