The flood in Ahrweiler has destroyed some traffic routes and infrastructure. Today we received pictures from THW's deployment of a completed temporary bridge, which is more than just a symbol of reconstruction.
THW relies on Securatek's trackway mats, which has proven its worth since 2006
To ensure that this temporary THW bridge can be operated as long as possible, undamaged and safely, the HDPE trackway mats from securatek, which has been tested and proven by the THW since 2006, was laid to protect the structure and the roadway. Rubber mats were used as a separating layer in order to reduce noise emissions and to improve the positioning of the floor protection mats.
It all comes down to the right connection technology for trackway mats
For the connection of the trackway mats on hard, solid, sensitive underground, our specially designed Joiner made of plastic with the visible enhancement made of steel was used. The steel enhancement additionally stiffens the mat structure in order to withstand the occurring gravitational forces and other effects from the covering system. The 4-Way cross connectors were used to connect 4 drive-over panels and the 2-Way Joiner to connect the panels in the middle and outer area.
