How do you reinforce a lawn so that it can be driven on or loaded without the subsoil giving way? Especially if the lawn or garden path borders directly on an embankment or slope, as in this reference? The solution is quite simple! First of all, the substructure must be built and produced for the expected loads. The plastic Ground Grid BG50 can then be laid directly on the substructure, we are talking here about the so-called "on-sub-Installation."
As soon as the Ground Grid has been laid, cutting can begin. The plastic Ground Grid can be cut with anything that saws, grinds or cuts to the desired shape.
The next step was to fill the 5 cm high Ground Grid BG50 with a fertile soil mix and lawn seed / grass seed up to the top edge. However, we recommend overfilling the Ground Grid by at least 1-2 cm, as the backfilled soil will still settle due to rainfall or watering of the resulting lawn.
In order to allow the young lawn to grow quickly, without gaps and in a healthy manner, the newly sown lawn should not be driven on or subjected to excessive stress for the first 6-8 weeks after sowing.
