Description

In this customer project, an existing parking lot made of concrete grass pavers was expanded with the plastic Grass Paver RGS35 from.  The advantage of the plastic lawn grid stone compared to its concrete counterpart in the Installation and the more positive effects on turf growth.

The plastic Grass Paver RGS35 can be laid and vibrated directly onto the existing lawn without a sub-base. The time-consuming and costly excavation or stripping of the turf is eliminated, as is the need for Create a frost-proof base layer and an installation bed.

In the hot summer months a concrete Grass Paver heats up enormously and the open-porous concrete withdraws the humidity from the lawn by the stone. It is different with the Grass Paver made of plastic, because it neither absorbs nor stores moisture. These positive properties of plastic compared to concrete, make it easier to keep the lawn green even in summer.

Does a Grass Paver made of concrete remove moisture from the lawn?

Grass Paver made of concrete can contribute to the drying of the lawn in the summer, as they can reduce the moisture in the soil. Concrete is a porous material that can allow water to pass through, but it can also pull water out of the soil, especially in dry conditions. When the sun is concentrated on the stones, they can also retain heat and heat up the soil around them, which can increase moisture evaporation.

However, when properly installed and maintained, concrete Grass Paver can also provide benefits. For example, they can help stabilize soil and reduce erosion, especially in high-traffic areas such as driveways and parking lots. They can also help control grass and weed growth by covering the soil and limiting access to sunlight and air.

To ensure your lawn receives adequate moisture, make sure you water it regularly and install an irrigation system if necessary. It may also be helpful to loosen the soil regularly to increase permeability and ensure that water can reach the roots of the lawn. If you plan to use Grass Paver, you may also want to consider placing a layer of sand or gravel under the stones to improve drainage and ensure the soil does not dry out.
