The challenge for tent construction in the event industry is usually to temporarily erect a tent or steel hall on an unpaved open area. In this project, the s:tek floor protection panels served as a load-distributing substructure or floor system, which was laid directly on the lawn. Thanks to the low weight of the s:tek ground protection panels, which weigh only 39 kg, the open area was laid and connected by hand in a minimum of time and without machine hours. This literally laid the foundation for all subsequent work. The surface created in this way could be driven over by trucks, forklifts and wheel loaders without the vehicles and machines leaving any traces in the soft turf or even getting stuck. Also the tree roots of the surrounding tree population (natural monument) could be protected thanks to the ground protection plates. Thanks to the TÜV-tested compressive strength of 1,377t/m2, the s:tek floor protection panel also qualified as a load-distributing floor system to improve the stability as a substructure for temporary tent construction, steel hall construction, warehouse construction, sports halls, leisure halls on soft floors.
