Description

Large parking lots can also be built with the Ground Grid BG30, as in this reference in which parking lots were created for an apartment building. In the first step, the area that will later be used as a parking area should be excavated. So much should be excavated that the Ground Grid does not stand over the edge.

Subsequently, curbs were set, which help to separate the parking spaces. Then the entire area was backfilled with gravel. This gives the Ground Grid more stability.

A Geotextile was then placed over the gravel bed. It covers the entire gravel area. The Ground Grid can then be laid on the Geotextile.

When all Ground Grid have been laid, the grids can be filled with gravel or other grit. The customer has filled the Ground Grid with soil, but not all the way to the top. He shook the soil and the Ground Grid firmly with a vibrating machine. In the last step, he completely backfilled the Ground Grid with gravel so that they are no longer visible.
