The high-performance floor protection plate s:tek 48 from securatek was subjected to an extreme load test by the Technical Aid Organisation Frankenberg local association on 7.6.2010. A 12-ton wheel loader drives over a folded ground protection mat made of high-quality HDPE plastic.
Instead of breaking, the elastic and at the same time load-bearing (up to 120t) floor protection plate absorbs the load. After the load is removed, the plate begins to bend back to its original shape. With appropriate storage, complete recovery can be achieved within 12 hours.
Due to the excellent quality and outstanding properties of the s:tek ground protection plates, the German Federal Agency for Technical Relief (abbreviated to THW) as well as the emergency command have been relying on Securatek for many years as a supplier for trackway mats incl. transport frame of the type STEK-48, which, among other things, is used in the Strength and Equipment Group (FGr R) under the part number 2510T00006.
