In this reference, the plasticGround Grid BG50 was laid to stabilize the soil and provide erosion protection for bark mulch on a slope. The Ground Grid BG50 is a real all-rounder, thanks to the stable grid structure any soil is effectively fixed and thanks to the height of 50 mm the Ground Grid offers enough volume to fill in bark mulch, wood chips, wood chips or wood chippings in an erosion-proof way.
As you can see from the first pictures, the complete garden was redesigned. The planning and execution of the garden organization were assigned by our customer to a local garden and landscape gardening enterprise. The Ground Grid BG50 made of plastic was delivered by Securatek to the customer's address and then processed by the landscaper.
The initial work steps included pushing off, uprooting, screening, spreading and leveling the topsoil. A surface prepared in this way forms the optimal basis for each subsequent work step. Subsequently, a paved terrace and garden path were laid, as well as a splash guard of coarse river gravel or river stones.
The area where the bark mulch will later be spread was first fully covered with the weed fleece UV90 to stop the growth of weeds. Then the Ground Grid was laid and the bark mulch was filled into the grid openings. For visual reasons, the Ground Grid was slightly overfilled or covered so that the Ground Grid would not be seen.
The great advantage of this combination of bark mulch and Ground Grid is that, despite the use of bark mulch, the ground is tread-resistant, loadable and can be driven over. At the same time, one has the advantage of an unsealed and low-maintenance surface design. The bark mulch filled into the grid structure cannot migrate downhill even on slopes, nor can it migrate into the subsoil due to the weed fabric.
