This customer project involved the redesign of an unsealed, water-permeable courtyard or driveway. It is recommended to use gravel with a grain size of 8/16 for the design of the yard surface.
To avoid Trackways or holes caused by shifting of the gravel, the gravel must be stabilized. For this purpose, the Gravel Grid KG30 was developed and manufactured.
In the first work step, the existing soil was leveled and leveled. On the thus prepared subsoil, the Gravel Grid was gradually laid by our customer himself. The Gravel Grid are firmly coupled or connected to each other by the 16 connecting elements per Gravel Grid.
After the Gravel Grid had been completely laid, work could begin on pouring the gravel onto the Gravel Grid . For this purpose, the client used a small wheel loader with which it is possible to drive over unfilled Gravel Grid without any problems. The gravel was then spread with a rake to evenly fill the cells of the gravel grid.
Thus, in a short time and with little effort, an unsealed, stabilized and very beautiful gravel surface was created in the area of the yard or driveway, which even large tractors can drive over without displacing the gravel.
