Description

The advantage of Grass Paver RGS35 made of plastic is that it is quick and easy to lay. It is also not necessary to lay the Grass Paver directly on the existing floor without the time-consuming production of a substructure. Theoretically, the ground would not even need to be leveled, because the grid can adapt to the unevenness. Thanks to the "joints" in the grass grids, it is possible to adapt to the ground. However, we recommend loosening and straightening the ground a bit.

This customer project involved the paving of a path or access road for tractors including a loaded trailer. The customer needed this access road to conveniently unload harvested grapes from the trailer for subsequent grape processing in the wine cellar.

The requirements for the Grass Paver were clearly defined. Fast Installation, high load capacity and load bearing capacity for tractors including trailers, anti-slip profiling on the surface, unsealed surfaces.

The first pictures show how the Grass Paver plastic was transported to the site and distributed. In this case, Envirotek's Grass Paver RGS35 was delivered as pre-plugged "mats". Pre-attached means that 9 Grass Paver have been coupled together to make the Installation even faster. The Grass Paver prepared in this way resulted in an area of 1.44 square meters (length = approx.1.20 m / width = approx. 1.20 m), which could be laid in one piece.

Gradually, the Grass Paver were laid and then rolled or driven into the ground with the help of a tractor and a small vibrating plate. This is a common way that many customers use to drive the Grass Paver into the ground.

However, as also described in the publisher's instructions, we recommend that the Grass Paver RGS35 plastic be vibrated into the soil using only a vibratory plate, vibratory plates, or tamper. After the Grass Paver has been vibrated or pressed into the ground, the paved area or path is immediately stabilized and loadable.

Further decisive advantages of the Grass Paver RGS35 made of plastic in comparison to conventional lawn pavers made of concrete we have listed for you in short form.

  • Direct laying possible without earth moving or preparatory work
  • Lower dead weight (4.7 kg/sqm vs. 110 kg/sqm)
  • Lower transport costs thanks to lower transport weight
  • Concrete draws moisture from the soil, plastic does not
  • Reduced risk of a burnt lawn in dry periods
  • Moisture in concrete may cause stone to crack, burst in winter
  • 16 joints per Grass Paver RGS35 vs. 0 joints per concrete block
