e:tek trackway mats plastic to protect the parking garage floor. In this application, more than 1000sqm of e:tek plastictrackway mats were used to protect the parking garage floor of a shopping center (shopping mall / arcade) under construction in Bielefeld, Germany. The 240 x 120 cm and 31 kg light e:tek trackway mats plastic can take up or distribute loads of up to 20 t/plate (6.95 t/m2).
The trackway mats were laid on the parking decks and parking levels as a mobile construction road, Mobile access road, storage area, parking area and assembly area to reliably protect the floor from damage during the construction phase.
In addition, as recommended, our ground protection fleece GRK5 was laid as a separating layer between the parking garage floor and the trackway mats. This is always recommended because the movements and forces acting on the trackway mats (e.g. gravitational forces caused by vehicle and machine movements) could lead to displacements and plastic abrasion on the floor.
We offer various solutions for connecting the trackway mats. Starting with connectors made of round steel, flat steel quick connectors, plastic Joiner for screwing, up to simple cable ties as also shown in this reference.
When using cable ties, it is important to ensure that an expansion joint / gap remains between the connected trackway mats, as plastic reacts to temperature influences and weather with expansion and shrinkage.
