Description

This customer reference was about the new installation and design of a stabilized gravel path with the Gravel Grid KG30. The customer chose the Gravel Grid KG30, especially because of the high-quality connection system, consisting of 16 horizontally & vertically secured couplings per Gravel Grid as well as the unique micro-perforated base plate.

The micro-perforation of the Gravel Grid KG30 prevents the backfilled gravel, crushed stone or chippings from migrating into the subsoil. On the other hand, the perforation ensures permanent water permeability for optimal unsealing / drainage of the newly laid gravel fill.

To ensure that you enjoy the gravel path, Gravel Grid for a long time and that your efforts are worthwhile, we recommend downloading our brochures "Planning aid for substructure"  and "Laying instructions Gravel Grid KG30" as PDF files. If the substructure is properly made as in this reference, laying the Gravel Grid KG30 is as simple and quick as can be.

Lay the first row Gravel Grid on the leveling bed or laying bed. Make sure to leave some "air" between Gravel Grid and the edging. Then start with the Installation of the second row Gravel Grid. Always make sure that the connecting elements engage audibly and visibly.

To optimally fit the Gravel Grid KG30 into the gravel path, you can simply cut through, saw, separate or grind the Gravel Grid. Remaining pieces or offcuts can still be reused by using cable ties.

We would like to thank our customer very much for this tip on the subject of "offcuts" and the really nice pictures of the design of his gravel path. Below you can read the original quote from our customer:

Hello Ms. Wagner, enclosed are the 19 photo shots of my construction project with Gravel Grid KG30. I have thus completed the access path from the garage exit to the garden area (not yet developed). The Gravel Grid is easy to work with and thus almost perfect. The only thing I would improve is to think in the direction of processing without cuts. In the pictures you can see how I tried to reduce my waste. I succeeded, even if it took some time.
