Solid crane beam or support beam made of plastic instead of hardwood as stackable support beam for supporting various cranes. Crane beams or Support beams are often used as an extremely durable, robust alternative for load-distributing and stable support of cranes. For this reason, the support beam is also often referred to as crane beam, shim, shim plates, or shim lifting blocks. Basically, however, our support beams, as the name implies, are suitable for permanent or temporary support of all possible and much more. In addition, they are suitable for support on hard surfaces such as concrete, asphalt, pavement or other hard, sensitive or solid soils. In addition to the safe support, the absorption and distribution of loads, the focus is also on the protection of the ground or subsoil. Due to the integrated carrying loops, the support beam is particularly easy to carry and place. This effectively reduces set-up times and facilitates transport and storage.
Plastic instead of wood
Do you still use wooden beams or scaffold planks or formwork boards for shoring? Then you are aware of all the disadvantages of wood. Compared to plastic, wood is not weather resistant, not as heavy duty, can splinter, break, crack, rot and decay. For example, a crane beam or shim made of wood must be replaced, replaced and purchased again and again. Support beams or crane beams from Securatek, on the other hand, are made of PE500 HMW plastic. This plastic is made of a high density, high molecular weight polyethylene. The main characteristics of this product are: Durability, rigidity, resistance to environmental conditions and chemicals, mechanical strength, abrasion resistance, low moisture absorption and weldability.
Standard sizes and special production
In addition to the usual standard sizes, customized special dimensions made of high-quality HDPE plastic with dimensions of 2000 x 2000 mm and a maximum thickness of up to 140 mm can also be produced or manufactured on request. Optionally, all our plastic plates can be produced with an anti-slip rubber coating made of rubber or can also be produced as a stackable version by module milling. Of course we can also add your name, logo or even a color stripe to your shim, support plate, crane plate or plastic plate. Talk to us, almost anything is possible!
The load capacity of support beams depends on factors such as soil class, soil condition, load-bearing capacity of the subsoil, contact area of the product with the subsoil, area and dynamics of the force application.
